About our Founder

Eric Bryant is the original founder of Promethean. Eric has been a full-time K9 Handler and police officer for over a decade and is always finding creative ways to overcome challenges. He has been recognized multiple times throughout his career (Employee of the Year, awarded the Houston 100 Club Officer of the Year, and even has a Medal of Valor from the State of Texas). Believe it or not, in 2006 Eric was named Time Magazine's Person of the Year!

As an officer, Eric enjoyed finding creative ways of solving crime. He would always think “outside the box” and wasn’t afraid of adapting to new and improved methods. This is the same creativity that launched Promethean and is the driving force behind all of their accomplishments. Eric consistently inspires workers to be imaginative and design-oriented.

What's with the name?

People often ask what the deal is with the company name. In Greek mythology, Prometheus is a Titan and is known for his intelligence and creativity. We wanted something simple for customers to remember that spoke to our daring creative nature!
